Keuruu Old Church (1758)
The old wooden church of Keuruu is the oldest existing wooden church in Middle Finland. It´s one of the most impressive examples of Finnish rural architecture of the 18´th century. The Old Church was planned and erected by Antti Hakola (1709–1778), a self-taught buildmaster from Ostrobothnia. The interior is richly decorated. Painter Johan Tilén (1743–1806) from Turku made the altarpiece in 1782. He completed the extensive decoration in the whole interior during 1782–85.
Pihlajavesi Old Church, the Church of Wilderness (1780)
